Customer Block
Set up the ShopTasks customer block to surface related tasks directly on your Shopify customer admin pages and create tasks from customers.
Setting Up the Customer Block
The customer block allows you to surface customers from your store directly within your tasks. This is particularly useful for tasks that involve customer management, support follow-ups, or targeted outreach.
Adding the Customer Block to Your Customer Page
- Go to your customer admin page.
- At the bottom of the page there is a section called "Blocks".
- Click "Related tasks" with the app logo — the block will be added to the customer page.
- Pin the block so that it is visible on the customer page.
Creating a New Task
You can create a new task using the customer block by clicking on the dark button titled "Create task".
Or you can click "More actions" at the top of the customer page, and select "Create task".
Fill in the information in the form, and click "Create task". You should notice your new task appear in the customer block at the bottom of the page.
