Order Block
Set up the ShopTasks order block to surface related tasks directly on your Shopify order admin pages and create tasks from orders.
Setting Up the Order Block
The order block allows you to surface orders from your store directly within your tasks. This is particularly useful for tasks that involve order management, inventory checks, or promotional activities.
Important to note that the blocks only work on the Shopify admin order pages, and not on draft orders pages.
Adding the Order Block to Your Order Page
- Go to your order admin page.
- At the bottom of the page there is a section called "Blocks".
- Click "Related tasks" with the app logo — the block will be added to the order page.
- Pin the block so that it is visible on the order page.
Creating a New Task
You can create a new task using the order block by clicking on the dark button titled "Create task".
Or you can click "More actions" at the top of the order page, and select "Create task".
Fill in the information in the form, and click "Create task". You should notice your new task appear in the order block at the bottom of the page.
